Common Etiquette Rules

Open with a compliment to a craftsmen on their work, ask your conservational partner which language they are most comfortable in and accommodate them if you both speak it, and bring tokens of appreciation to give in advance if asking a favor.

Common Taboos

Turning your back on a friend or family who has not slighted you

History

Crown Elves have a long history in the mainland as diplomats, craftsmen, court mages, and kings, however, they haven't been permitted the actual title in many of their own generations due to the bloody wars that plagued their last rule.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

Crown Elves enjoy the presence of humans and enjoy watching their lives with a deep appreciation for their vibrancy and spontaneousness. Tend to have several human friends and try to advise those willing to listen like older family to young adults do in Elven families. Many a feast table hosts one or several humans.   Dwarves enjoy a tense, quiet peace around Crown Elves due to the Elven habit of holding their grandfather's grudges but cultural appreciation for craftsmen. If a Crown Elf becomes friends with a Dwarf, it's as long as they both live and brings in the trust of the Elf's whole family.   Other Elves shy away from Crown Elves at first due to the long belief among them that the other Elves were bred as lower classes, but that belief has been dropping off in the last dozen generations, leaving the shyness there as a vestige of a bygone age.   Halflings quickly become friends with Crown Elves and bond over their mutual love of singing, dancing, and poetry, but both sides understand the friendship isn't to last and don't plan on each other in the future. Gnomes enjoy the bond as well, finding Crown Elves to be suitable friends in magical prowess, although their relationship lasts as long as it takes to copy notes.   Goblins, Orcs, and Tieflings are shunned and friendship with one is taken as a slight against a Crown Elf's family.
