Session 5 - 25th of Thellonde Midday 948 ACW

General Summary

With a day off in the city the group takes some time to take care of a few errands. Kal went off to get a cloak for each of the kobolds plus a bow and set of thieves tools for Scream. He gave the kobolds the cloaks holding off on the other items till he could get Scream alone. He saw that they were clearly trying to make the group a set of friendship bracelets. Kal then went to the northern side of the city where a minor amount of shady business took place in the city. There he met Kendolyn Cross who seemed to run a small mob of ten to fifteen people. After paying her some amount of money he was able to find out that Holme was in the city and looking for the group as well as the fact that he went by the name Voro while in the city. Kal then decided to go find the rest of the group. 

While Kal was out and about the other three went up to the 5th floor of Kerith-Valandres to speak with Rowan's teacher Master Ryder Montero. There Rowan got the arcane map cantrip and saw that Rahmiel was essentially a glowing beacon of energy compared to everyone else. Tanor then left after telling Rowan to be careful while working with the ley lines. They then talked with Ryder a bit more with her being unsure as to why Rahmiel was glowing and that Tanor would probably have more information than she would. They then decided to head over to Tanor's current place of residence to speak with the elder. He invited them into the home and told them that those who had a deeper connection to the ley lines like Rahmiel were thought to be mere rumors and that the few rumors he had heard where that those who had this connection were said to have an ancient connection. They told him about finding the Spear of Reality to which he explained what the spear could do and that the only way to hide one's self from someone who could use Lymrah would be to sever your connection to the lines which could only be done through death.  They then decide to meet up with Kal and get their next job from Azel, where they ended up taking on both jobs Azel offered them. Looking into the disturbance in the Forest of Beltin and heading off to the Cobalt Peaks and rooting out the magic school. They then headed out to the city proper to pick up supplies for the trip, while in the city they were approached by a child who turned out to be Holme, and after telling Tanor and Kylin what was happening Tanor when with them and some guards to find Holme and Kylin left to get a cell ready. After a quick fight, Holme surrendered and they brought him to the bastille. There they were led down to the basement of the building where after passing through a door with arcane locks they found themselves in a space that seemed to have a cap of some sort as to the power of a spell that could be cast. The unknown man then cast zone of truth which everyone failed the save on and the man then began to question Holme, the group learned that he was called Cyar Verus, was from the Eras Republic, and he worked for Kendra Fairden.
