Connected through the intricate web of arcane Leylines, the Five Portals of Ossin serve as the lifeblood of the world's arcane energy. Originally created as four conduits of unimpeded magical flow, these ancient gateways channeled raw arcane power across the realms. However, the aftermath of the War of Shattered Souls brought a pivotal change. Corellon, god of magic and arts, sundered one of the portals, creating two separate halves. These two halves are now guarded by distinct elven tribes: the Mani Tribe of sea elves, who protect the Shattered Sapphire Portal in the Redwyrm Islands, and the Maenor Tribe of wood elves, who oversee the Twilight Grove Portal at the base of the Maestyn Mountains in the Vianor Forest on the continent of Fellmore.
The remaining three portals each play vital roles in maintaining Ossin's arcane balance. The Celestial Cascade Portal lies in the northern forests of Thelascia, safeguarded by the high elves. Deep beneath the frozen surface of the southern continent of Thegate, the Silver Tree Portal is fiercely protected by the dark elves of the Queendom of the Silvermoon. Atop the towering peaks of the Skyward Range on Remos, the Stormpeak Gateway is vigilantly guarded by the Skyward Guardians, a mountain giant tribe.

Geography

Each portal exists in a unique region, shaped by its environment and the culture of its caretakers. Despite these differences, all portals share a common design: a central void of pulsing arcane energy surrounded by four floating runestones engraved with ancient glyphs of power.

• Shattered Sapphire Portal: Nestled within the shimmering depths of the Attel Sea, this half-portal radiates an aura of serene blue light. The surrounding waters teem with enchanted coral and aquatic guardians summoned by the Mani Tribe.
• Twilight Grove Portal: Found at the base of the Maestyn Mountains, this portal is encircled by towering trees and glowing flora, tended to by the Maenor Tribe. It exudes a tranquil green hue, blending seamlessly with the forest.
• Celestial Cascade Portal: Situated in a lush, protected forest just above sea level in Thelascia, this portal shimmers with ethereal light, resembling cascading starlight. High elven wards and enchantments ensure its sanctity.
• Silver Tree Portal: Hidden within the subterranean depths of Thegate, this portal takes the form of a massive silver tree, its branches carved from enchanted crystal. The dark elves of the Silvermoon Queendom revere it as a sacred relic.
• Stormpeak Gateway: Atop the jagged peaks of the Skyward Range, this portal glows with vibrant lightning, its energy constantly sparking through the mountain winds. The Skyward Guardians have constructed mighty fortifications around it.

The ley lines that emanate from these portals crisscross Ossin, forming a vast web of arcane currents. At key intersections, known as nodes, the arcane energy wells into powerful focal points. Where multiple lines converge, these convergences give rise to immense reservoirs of magical potential, often influencing the surrounding environment in dramatic ways. The ley lines ultimately terminate at Ossin’s polar nexus points, where their energies are most concentrated, linking the planet's magical essence into a unified whole.
The Five Portals are not just relics of ancient magic but critical to Ossin's arcane balance. Their protection remains a solemn duty, carried out by the world's most vigilant and powerful guardians.
