Isan Meidan

As the capital city of Harptos, Isan Meidan is built on the floating islands suspended in the air by the Menniloch to easily take advantage of its plentiful magical energy. Because of this the city essentially runs on magic, far more than any other city. There is a large population of Satyr, Dryad and Elf–the races native to Lysavor–but due to Isan Meidan becoming the center for magical research within the empire, many different races can be found within the city. Isan Meidan is a mageocracy run by The Seven Grand Sages. Their judicial system relies on divination. The decisions made by these diviners are absolute and cannot be questioned.   The main dragons worshipped in the city are Zeiros, Dragon of the Seasons and Annrauth, Dragon of the Hunt.   Isan Meidan is a rich city. It exports various magical devices and imports mostly luxury goods as they are able to produce everything they need with the help of magic.

The Docks

The docks are a series of platforms where ships can land. The upper docks are closer together, meant for small and medium sized ships to park. The lower docks have places for large and huge ships to land, as well designated loading and unloading areas. There are large elevators meant for transporting the cargo between levels, as well as both a smaller elevator and stairs for people to use.

Mot's Mogs & Mods

Near the docks sits a small building with a large, red, rusted sign that reads "Mot's Mogs & Mods". Connected to the building is a large fenced off area. Under an awning is a workshop where a few people are currently working on a ship. Off to the side there are a few more ships parked, awaiting service. In the back there is a much larger warehouse, most likely where they store spare parts. The owner of the repair yard is Mot.

Caelid's Curios

Located at the heart of the shopping district, it is a small shop with a large, red awning abouve the front of the shop. To the side of the door is a large glass window with powerful magical items on display. The inside is cramped with shelves of various small magical objects. Various plants and herbs hang to dry on strings hung around the shop. There is an overpowering smell of incense. The shop is run by Caelid Orelon.

Midas Gearworks

Also in the center of the shopping disctrict sits a comparatively large shop. A neon blue sign with the store's name sits above the revolving door. High-tech armor stands in display windows in the front. Inside more armor stands alternate with shelves full of armor augments and other various tech. Weapons hang along the walls. Behind the counter sits Remir, tinkering with something. A few robots roam around the front of the shop, waiting to offer assitance.

Traveler's Rest

A simple three story building which is fashioned like a tavern with white plaster walls and dark wooden beams. There is a bar on the first floor. In one corner, a live band plays. The walls are covered in various pictures of landscapes and ocean-fairing ships. The room is packed with booths and tables, most of which are filled. The rooms of the inn are cramped, but clean.

Nexus Bathhouse

A bathhouse on the edge of the city. There is one large bath as well as a number of smaller baths meant for private groups. These private groups have a view off the side of the city to the Yuirwood below.

Gierhalt Company

The headquarters of the Gierhalt Company is on the southwest side of the city, close to the docks.

Lumenspire Academy

The best place to learn magic in the Empire. It is a large, spire-like building covered in large windows with with balconies covered in plants jutting out.
