The 4th Age

The 4th age in the world of Orr was a lasting era filled with dynamic events that reshaped the world in virtually every way. The borders of the three great nations were established with resolute earnest, new discoveries and insight regarding magic and technology created prevailing, 'enlightened' societies, and many of the great threats to the mortals of Orr were vaniquished or driven into distant corners of the realms.
  The 4th era is considered by some to be the Golden Era of the world, but it was not a peaceful time. This period was rife with conflicts, and struggles of power unlike any seen in the previous ages. Despite the marring of these wars and skirmishes for power, much of what we know as the world today was settled and crystallized into permanent culture during these years.   It was not until the approach of the fifth millenium that scholars dictated that enough had begun to change to warrant the passing of the Golden Age, and the advent of the Pathfinder Society in the year 4984AR was chosen as the closing point for this era.
