Vrynn
Vrynn was the last settlement to be raised by the Iskar Astartes, as it was the land promised by Ellemix to Feyrendel, the Sylvan Knight who left the conquered realm. Resting in the heartland woods of the western fold of Iskandar where the rivers of the northern moutains sweep eastward to converge with the Angel's Ribbon, this storied expanse of territory was once unreachable except by sea, and the rivers until the Iskar Astartes created the Salt Roads that cleaved through the Briarwood of Yensova to the south.
The hanging city. The city of rivers, and rings. The city of the elder boughs. Vrynn is a miracle of artistry, engineering and magic. The woodland that serves as the city's prominade are filled with megaflora trees that tower over the earth, and whose roots are large enough to serve as roadways. The lattice of rivers that course through these massive woods also serve to allow travel through a terrain that would be otherwise impossible to navigate. Due to these large trees the city of Vrynn was built within their boughs and a network of zip-line trollies, wire bridges, and circling stairs connect various sectors, and wards of the city.

Sylvan Forests
The woodlands that cloak Vrynn are wild places where primeval magic runs rampant. A considerable lattice of magic leylines intersect and weave through these woods, creating arcane wellsprings which support many creatures, and outsiders native to the demi-plane of the Feywild. Dryads, Sprites, Pixies, Nereids, Fawns, Ents, and many other sentient outsiders dwell within the deep recesses of these forests, which may at times come into conflict with trespassers, and wanderers, of the woods. But even these examples scarcely encompass the myriad of other creatures and natives of the wildness. The concentrated convergence of magical energy in the forests of Vrynn are sometimes referred to as the "Greenweave" by rangers, and druids of the region; A force that is capable of opening portals, and gates to demi-planes connected to the natural forces, such as the Feywild, the Beastlands, and even Arcadia itself. The forests themselves are expansive, and storied. The name given to them by the Elysium Elves who arrived here were "Nullaia Moroda" or, the "woods of uncountable rings".Spirit Groves
The heartland forests of Vrynn are filled with memories, and graves. It is here that the Iskar Astartes have often interred their fallen knights, and over the centuries these graveyards, which began as only small acres of woodland, have become forests of mausoleums, and forgotten markers. While these groves are heart-breaking places, there is a gentleness to these spanning respites, and an energy of spirit that has passed into the earth and given bloom to spectral trees, and glowing flora. It is said that those who walk among the cairns of these groves can hear the voices of their lost loved ones in the boughs, and may catch glimpses of friends, and family watching them from afar beneath the wild growth. These graveyards of glowing trees and moss-covered markers are considered sacred places, and thus the knights of the Iskar Astartes have often made piligrimages to visit the fallen brethren of their houses; Here they clean their burial stones, pray at their markers, and sometimes to deliver pieces of their arms, and armor that were lost before they were interred. The groves are often tended by clerics of Carthus, the Endless of death, and occasionally by circles of Druids who tend to the spirit treesMerrow, and River Giants
The coursing wateways, rivers, creeks, and branches that pass through the heartland forests of Vrynn are the home of many primal beings who long called these woodlands their home before the arrival of the Elysium Elves. Beautiful merrow with flashing scales, and peacock-patterned fins make their dens among the submerged caves of the rivers, and upon mighty barges the ancient River Giants still trawl their nets. These beings are indifferent to the woes of the Dawn Realm so long as it does not threaten the rush of their byways, and stony streams; They have also been known to trade, and sometimes share company with curious mortals. The merrow have even taken mortal lovers in ancient times, and it is said that from these couplings have been born the Udine, or Mer-Elves.Legends of the forests, and dales of Vrynn speak of a time when the Elladrin of the Feywild wove a spell of 'living magic' into the woodland. A spell that coursed though the roots of the trees, flowers, and grasses; Giving the earth an awakened life of its own. As these caretakers of the forests were driven back into their demi-plane, and mortals arrived to hew down the trees, and sculpt the land to support their cities, the living earth 'died' and its 'blood' crystalized within sacred trees of its heartland, becoming a diamond sap filled with the memories of the primal forest.
