The Eternal Realm

Mt. Orromundus
The great mountain. Orromundus is one of the highest peaks in the world and an active volcano whose eruptions can alter the very continents. Mt. Orromundus is also the site of the Runes of Eternity, the thousand-foot high slates upon which are written the encoded soul of the High King. Below these slates are the Rune Anvils and the forges of Drin’s avatars where his golems are awakened. Mt. Orromundus is defended by its own legion of the Ordo Justitia including several powerful flying warships and is considered the crux of Drin’s rule. The mountain appears on many royal regalia and to the devoted of Drin is a sacred place.   Vahl’ Balroc
The royal capital. It was here that Drin, as a mortal, was born and here that he still conducts his rule. Vahl’ Balroc is a fortress city located several miles below the Blue Mountains. Carved from stone in the ancient Dwarven custom, The architecture of Vahl’ Balroc is described by poets and historians as some of the most beautiful in the world and characterized by its many bridges and stone walkways spanning over great drops to the abyss. Vahl’ Balroc also possesses a monumental underground waterfall, vivid subterranean gardens and mountain skylights. Far below the city itself lies the forgeworks where the armory of Drin’s armies are wrought and where new marvels and inventions are always being tested and designed.   The Blue Mountains
These peaks were once the ancestral homes of many Dwarven holds but after the eruption of Orromundus the great halls of the Blue Mountains are not but ruins and gates to the Underdark save for Vahl’ Balroc, the capital of the kingdom of Drin. The Blue Mountains are renowned for their deep mineral veins and gained their namesake from the discovery of “blue steel” or mithral within the rich deposits. The ancient dwarf holds buried among the peaks of the Blue Mountains have served as rewarding treasure troves for adventurers who dare to tramp through the lairs of the monsters guarding them but most citizens of Drin frown upon despoiling the tombs.   Tserbun-Larc
The wargate. Tserbun-Larc is the home of Drin’s iron legions. It is where the armadas of airships await at standby for command, it is where the golem avatars of Drin himself are brought for repairs and re-etchings of their runes, it is where the largest Rune Anvil in the world lies and where the armies of Drin are drilled and trained. Any new officers of the King Eternal’s army will spend their first eight months in Tserbun-Larc as they’re made battle-worthy and taught the required skills necessary to serve.   Notham
The city of invention. Notham is widely renowned for its futuristic fairs and inventor’s festivals. It is a large, factory city with buildings of many multiple floors, walkways in the sky that connect them, personal airship harbors and even underwater laboratories. Notham rests upon the western seaboard of Drin south of Tserbun-Larc and thus caters to a great station of the King Eternal’s officers, yet their presence does very little to deter the rampant crime or the influence of Notham’s thieves’ guild. Notham is also the site of the only college of sorcery found in the kingdom giving rise to a high population of arcane practitioners.     Korros Forest
The taiga of the north realm is a vast and largely unexplored territory called the Korros Forest. Small towns and hamlets reside within it but their remote way of life can ensure that some villages may never be included in the national census. A railroad cuts through the region to connect as many of these secluded sites as possible and enable trade but recently has also become a primary asset to the growing resistance against the High King. These rebels often attack the officers protecting the trains, rob them of their cargo or use the railroad to transport their own supplies and guerrilla fighters. The officers of the King Eternal’s army are certain the resistance possess a base of operation inside the Korros Forest but have yet to locate it.
