Rizion

A messianic figure in the history of the world, Rizion's legacy is one shrouded in controversy and mystery.   Her works in the material plane are considered impossible feats for a single, mortal entity. Her power as ascribed by the few texts, and oral sagas that have survived the eras describe her as wielding unimaginable power. She is credited for raising the Spelltowers that sealed the Starwell and divided the eight winds of magic, stripping the Dragon Lords of Orr of their power, and banishing many orders of outsiders including the Faerie Courts and the children of Hades back to their planes before sealing the fissures between them and the material world created by the fall of the heaven-dragon. It is not a far-fetched claim that through these acts she may have saved the world of Orr and all of mortal kind, and afterward she seemingly vanished and left precious few ways to understand how these feats were accomplished.   There is an understandable skepticism regarding Rizion that has pervaded the study of her works in nearly all fields of scholarship. Foremost being that before the winds were divided, when time flowed in all directions, there simply cannot be any certainty of the events. Thousands of timelines were splintered and ran their course from the moment the heaven-dragon sundered the planes. In all probability thousands, perhaps millions of worlds of Orr were spawned, and perished; and among those multitudes one produced the advent of Rizion's legacy and power.   Other problematic questions regarding Rizion's feats involve the Spelltowers which to this very day mages of Orr cannot comprehend or explain. The mechanism by which they divide the winds is utterly alien and unknown and the towers themselves too precious to the world of Orr to dissect for more knowledge. What is certain is that nothing in the world resembles them, making it unclear if they were in fact an invention of Rizion or a stolen technology of another world or another plane.   Rizion's mysterious disappearance has also given rise to the belief that she was in fact not mortal, but divine. An assertion that has caused a great deal of strife in the world, especially between the realms of Iskandar and Dalair. For Rizion to be a divine being would place her on a alcove of power above even The Endless who are tethered to mortal fates and mortal ideals. As powerful as they are The Endless have never taken physical form in the material world and their few avatars, the proxies of their power, have claimed it would be abhorrent to do so.   Whatever the truth may be, her feats have garnered indisputable reverence.
