The Fall of the Tyrant King
"Looks like I'll be breaking that promise. Oh well. I'll deal with that later. I'll be back in a few years to see what becomes of this place." The look of deserved fear on his face bit deserved.
"You can't be serious! What you're describing goes beyond insanity! No being should be capable of that! I refuse to believe it!" Despite even his guards being taken out of commission and safely moved away, be still saw fit to fight to the end. He just couldn't bring himself to take his life, but that didn't stop him from toying around with him.
"Well then you've made your choice, you are no longer my concern. At the very least it will be instantaneous for you so it'll be over quickly." He tuned him out after that point, relocating him far enough away that he would still be able to see the event that was about to unfold.
He'd gone out of his way to do it at dusk for the destruction of the castle to have the most impact. It started as a small golden light that poured out of every window, but also from areas that it seemingly shouldn't such as the walls themselves. It didn't last for long however as there was a gigantic pressure wave that emanated from the center of the structure before a second one radiated spherically, reducing the entire area to stone and mortar dust as well as wood particles.
After the smoke and dust cleared, he emerged, he stepped forward to reveal his new form, to them anyway. He was wearing local clothing, further making it far less obvious who he was. His eyes were a completely unnatural colour compared to everyone else on the planet, even the Human like ones. A pale azure that almost made it look like he had no irises. His hair was spiked upward quite violently, though his hair was normally a bit more towards the upward side anyway. Instead of his hair being its normal light brown it was now near ivory in colour. He drew his golden aura back into himself and walked forward to call his mount with a whistle. It took a few minutes but that was not an issue.
The rapid halting of movement had caused a slight groove to be dug into the ground where it had stopped. "Always quick as usual. I really wish I could do more for you at this stage."
There was no clearly discernible speech being uttered but anyone nearby would have been able to surmise that he was responding to the creature. Or that it was a coincidence that they seemed to not just be bucking him off and mauling him on sight.
"I know but, that's just how I am! I've got centuries on these people but they'd never believe me even if I told them the truth. You're going to see a rather surprising shift. I've got a treat for them that's going to make them absolutely stunned. " His goal was not to terrorise them but to have them questioning their own eyes. With that out of the way they made their way back to the area where the former tyrant King was being held. He had to calm down the guard due to being on such a terrifying creature.
Half a year later a letter of siege notification was declared against the final remnants of the Tyrant King's forces.
As he approached the castle walls it was clear that he was absolutely calm. He had to be. There was no reacting normally to what was potentially coming.
With his aura flared, the pellets from the cannon stopped dead in the air. Within seconds he flung the pellets back to their original departure point. Several were injured, but non fatally.
A similar situation unfolded when they attempted to do more direct damage with several volleys of rifle fire. With a look of absolute delight, he moved between the projectiles, the world slowing down around him. To the others, however, he was practically stationary, yet none of their projectiles were connecting. Still, that was the point, he needed to ingrain himself in their memory, and specifically, the fact that despite seemingly being a figment of their imagination and yet real enough to have gone through an entire castle without ending the life of a single individual.
