House of Eight Candles

The House of Eight Candles is a spiral-shaped structure, rising up above the skyline of Croixeau, the entire spiral lined with thousands of candles that burn through the night, with young hopefuls who do not have noble backing tasked with keeping them replaced and lit. The candle is widely seen as the symbol of the school, and students are given a mystical, ever-burning candle for each school of magic they master, each in a different color. Red for Evocation, Blue for Conjuration, Yellow for Divination, White for Abjuration, Green for Enchantment, Orange for Transmutation, Purple for Illusion, and Black for Necromancy. Most graduates carry staves that have cnadle holders or even candelabras at the top, to display their signs of mastery. The school is the dominion of House Relayeur, who are the arcane power in Tressaunt. The current Archmage of the House of Eight Candles is Rhys Relayeur.
