Croixeau

Croixeau is the capital of Tressaunt, and is one of the oldest cities is Orioth. It is known for it's extravigant, decadent decor and beautiful vistas. It is home to many of the Four Families of Tressaunt, and host their many projects. Some of it's most well-known sights are the Garden of the Water Lily, a lovely open-air temple to Beladora, the House of Eight Candles, a magic school who's candle-bearing graduates are respected as scholars across all of Orioth, and the Tradewind Conservatory, a metal-and-glass fencing school that turns out some of the world's greatest duelists. Few know that beneath the streets lies the Entombed Bastion, a training school for the deadliest assassins.
The nation, as well s the city, is run by the four families, who move in a constantly shifting arcane dance of power and favors, making it near impossible for outsiders to identify who specifically is in charge of what at any given time, but any noble of Tressaunt will be able to tell you without a thought. That said, the leaders of the Garden, the House, the Conservatory, and the Bastion are often the head of their respective families.
