Alvaryd

Alvaryd is the capital of Caledwyn, located along the Tempest Coast, at the edge of the Khavrel Forest. Sometimes called the Holy City, Alvaryd is a place of great faith. It was only a small town, where Saint Emalia was born, during the Age of Iron. In the time since, it has been built into a large, sprawling city, built in a near-perfect octagon, with the city divided into eight wedge-shaped districts, each dedicated to a different god of the Meridian. Unlike most representations of the Meridian, instead of having The Silent God at the center, they are represented in one of the outer districts, with the central spoke reserved for the Order's patron, Ravasol, cumonating in the grand, sunburst-shaped temple known as the Heart of Dawn, built on the site of Saint Emalia's birth, and acting as central of government, worship, and as the home to the Saint.
