Following victories such as the Battle of the Red Ford, the main rebel force advanced deeper into the Velvet Coast. Sensing an opportunity to strike at Elven-aligned cities in Novaya, Artur Prager—Alerio’s trusted comrade from Holz—led a contingent of Holzen infantry and cavalry on a secondary thrust aimed at halting Elven resupply efforts. Halamare, perched at a key river junction and known for its abundant farmlands, presented a prime target for subduing Elven authority in the region.
