Holocron of the Eldar Light Item in Ordo Templaris Universe | World Anvil

Holocron of the Eldar Light

The Holocron of the Eldar light was constructed by the second Keeper of the Ordo Templaris first Crusade. Using Je'daii knowledge the Holocron was made to provide the Pillars of the Ordo with relief and support. With the Pillar always serving as the uplifting and supportive influence on the other members of the Council of Seven the Keeper decided that something had to be done to ensure this task would not completely drain the Pillar.   It is a unique piece of Ordo technology.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

The force was woven into this holocrons design in a slightly unusual way, leaving an imprint of the force alone and not the creator. This was done in order to properly harness the power of the force, and ensure that it could be accessed by those who could not control the force. Although at the time of it's creation all the members of the Ordo were force sensitive it was determined that it might not always be so. The Holocron was not made to hold any information, rather it was created to gather and relay information using the force itself to do so.   To activate it a character needs to have certain qualities present in their aura. If an appropriate user holds the holocron it will imprint on the person and after a short while being ready to open. By design the artifact will use information found in the unseen world of the force to gather and relay information specific to the user. Tracing back the actions of the user the holocron is able to show the user the consequences of their actions. It only shows whatever is reflected by Ashlan with the intent of displaying everything good that has come from the users actions. The Idea was to ensure that whenever the Pillar was struggling this artifact could help lift their spirits in showing that even the darkest act that might make one question one's own motives could have good results.
