Peregrine Keep
The Peregrine Keep is the ancestral home to the The Garrington Family and the seat of the ruler of Dalry.
Built just before The Schism as a planned home for some Archmage, it eventually fell into near ruin and was used as a refuge by the group of survivors led by Bolles Garrington until the Schism had passed. It would eventually become the ruling seat of Dalry when the first Garrington named himself King.
The large stone structure reaches up to the sky, nearly 800 feet tall, a monolith that can be seen for miles. It is easily one of the oldest buildings on the continent and is often studied by curious archaeologists and mages.
Many live in the keep year round, alongside the ducal family, the castle is stocked with many servants and guards and usually keeps guests year round. Outside of the family the two most important people in the keep are Magistrix Shiera Bereltar, the Court Mage, and Bishop Levina Hellius, who is in charge of the chantry within the castle.
Named for the hunting birds the refugees used to cathc food, the keep stands as a reminder of Dalry's deep history.
