Karl Gebhart
Karl Gebhart is a Human information broker and one half of the partnership of Gebhart and Leigh.
Gebhart was born in 722PS in Waukan, The Eleventh, to a common family. He joined the Military of The Dawn at a young age, looking for adventure and a way to earn money and leave his home. Due to the Empire not being at war, Gebhart didn't get any taste of the adventure he wanted, and was extraordinarily bored with being assigned random guard duties of border posts, traveling nobility, or bolstering city guards.
Gebhart was intelligent, and he felt his mind stagnating at the boredom and repetition of his life, and so requested a transfer into the Dawn Military Intelligence Unit, in order to use his brains to help his homeland. The transfer approval went through and Gebhart spent the next thirty years working for the Intelligence Unit and gathing information on both the Empire's enemies and allies.
It was during this time that he worked with Anhalo Investigators on a case and he fell in love with the city of Cypren and decided to retire there.
During his years as an intelligence operative, Gebhart had met Sibel Leigh, and once he left the military he reached out to the halfling woman and offered her a partnership in an information broker business, feeling they could use their skills privately and make a comfortable amount of money in order to help through his retirement.
Gebhart and Leigh have been working together ever since, offering information for a price, and often working alongside the Investigators in order to legitamise their business.
