Session 70: When Last We Met 2/18/24

General Summary

When last we met, the party had just downed a vicious creature known as a Behir. In the darkness of its lair, Mistral and vandread attempted to harvest some of its parts for possible profit but come up short. They manage to get a hold of the creature's hide and Mistral stores it away in his pack.
The party then takes their exit of the mine and decides their next move should be the city of Vagra. They make the 15 day journey on foot. The party gets accosted by a group of Kobolds who demand money from the party. Not flinching even though they are much smaller and weaker than the party. Vandread hands over 2 gold pieces and that seems to appease them and they flee into the forests surrounding the road they are on.
The party eventually make it to the city of Vagra. It definitley matches the descriptions from other characters as they are immediately accosted by a group of young children vying for their attention. This is merely a distraction while one of them makes off with some of Romaia's coin. Incensed, Vandread leads the charge tracking down the thief and eventually finds them counting their spoils in a nearby alley. After a small standoff, The urchins flee leaving the coin behind and it is returned to Romaia.
The party then moves about the city information gathering and doing a bit of shopping. They check with the barkeep at the local tavern for information on the Volim Clan. What little information the barkeep was forthcoming with wasn't promising for leads on the Volim Clan. After that the players explore different parts of the city. Eventually reconvenining at the same Tavern... Only with two less people than what they started with.
Celeste branches out to try and search for Isolde and Arcturus, only to find Arcturus' horse with a note left in the saddle bag. It reads:

Your friends are safe with us... for now. Make haste to Slozhny mansion. We would like to have a discussion.
Don't keep me waiting.

Celeste relays this information to the party and with Arcturus' horse in tow, They convene at a brothel called the Verdant Repose to figure out their next move. And that's where we'll pick up next time!

Otsko - a portly gentleman and proprietor of a local Pawn shop. Bought Mistral's Behir hide for the sole purpose of getting rid of the putrid thing.

• Starts to formulate a rescue plan
