Session 67: When Last We Met
General Summary
When last we left off, the party were engaged in a heated confrontation with a rival group of mercenaries working for the Sisters of Salvation. Most of their ilk had fled the battle as it got more intense. Finally the fight came down to Kraal, Oorlog and Ostera. Ostera fled within an inch of her life using a teleport spell (which was unsuccessfully counterspelled by Isolde). Oorlog, equally beaten and bloodied, Submitted to defeat and his fate, And Kraal fought on to the bitter end, Which was dealt by Tensi's blade running through his sternum.
With the chaos of battle ended, Vandread and Tensi order Oolog back to his feet, Not intending to kill one who fought with honor. He flees into the night. Mistral attempts to search the rear gardens for either Olim, Dima, Or the Mastokov Matriarch, Finding only the latter (and her daughter in law) and leading them back inside. Tearful tense reunions are made between mother, grandmother and children. After a few choice words with the party, Svetlana, Wife of Grigoriy is brought outside to watch her husband's execution.
Outside the palace gates, Grigoriy and Svetlana have a bittersweet reunion. Meanwhile Lord Zhinoviy attempts to flee his captors. Only to be shot in the back with arrows and trambled by the hooves of the Tsao-Kun horses. Lord Mastokov takes a much more dignified end, Submitting to his fate. He meets a quick end by way of a devastatingly large blade. With their business and Khurdan Shudarga (Swift justice) fulfilled, Ongar and his forces remove themselves from the city. Promising peace.
Meanwhile back in the palace, Celeste and Mistral stay behind, set to guard the children. While here they encounter the rest of the Mastokov family, guns pointed and interrogating the pair on the messy fate of their Brother Oskar. Explanations are given and Mistral finally hints of his connection to Lady Svetlana and a silent understanding falls upon the room. The family is spared further bloodshed and They make their oaths to disband slavery in this part of the country but warn that The Volim clan will not be as easily swayed to the party's suggestions. Being they are more akin to a crime syndicate than any sort of family.
The party then take their rest in the weary falcon inn after convincing a suspicious bar keep to let them in and that the danger has passed. They spend their night in relative peace at the inn. Tensi gives a truly rousing performance to the patrons in attendance and they eventually find their way to bed.
The following morning at breakfast, The party is approached by three hooded figures who reveal themselves to be Dima, Olim and Oorlog, come to apologize for their behavior and ask the party to get them out of the city before they are met with the long arm of the law. After undergoing a Zone of Truth, the party agrees to help them and orders them to accompany them as they deal with the Volim Clan. And that's where we'll pick up next time!

Kraal - Leader of the mercenary group employed by the Sisters of Salvation. Wanted to kill off the Mastokovs to attempt a power grab for himself. Met his end at the hands of the heroes of Maplevale
Oorlog - Muscle of the Mercenary group. Fought hard and submitted to his own death, which never came.
Ostera - Spellcaster of the Sisters of Salvation. Seemed to meet her match at the hands of the party. Teleported away to an unknown location
Olim and Dima - Twin Rogues of the Salvation Mercenaries. Both fled the battle when things started to not go ther way.
Balthazar Zinoviy - Leader of the Sisters of Salvation. Set up the party to die in the name of political aspirations. Met his end in an undignified execution at the hands of the Tsao-Kun. RIP
Grigoriy Mastokov - Patriarch of the Mastokov Dynasty and leader of the country of Volgot. Atoned for his crimes and faced an honorable death at the hands of Ongar Kol Ongar. RIP
Svetlana Mastokov - Wife of Grigoriy. Negotiated a tentative peace with the party and an end to their business of Slave mining.
Paolina Mastokov - Wife of Oskar, Mother of Sasho. Aggrieved to hear of her husbands death. Will she seek retribution?
Sasho Mastokov - 4 year old son of Oskar and Paolina. Half brother of Mistral. Probably too young to understand the trauma he's facing.
Andrei Tartov - Husband of Vilya and father of Veronika. Held a gun to Mistral's back ready for retribution. Talked out of it before more life altering choices were made.
Veronika Tartov - 15 year old daughter of Vilya and Andrei. Jaded and angsty teenager. But otherwise innocent of the sins of her family.
Ongar Kol Ongar - Served his justice to the people who attacked him. The Score is settled and he and his army return to Yakutia.
