Session 66: When Last we met 1/21/24

General Summary

When last we met, The party had captured Grigoriy Mastokov and Lord Zinoviy alive and dragged them both kicking and screaming out to Ongar and his legion of warriors. The party questions Zinoviy on the workings of the slave trade. He reveals that He is the exclusive dealer for "new recruits" and that once working the mines, There are magic means to keep them subservient and prevent rebellion.
Meanwhile, Mistral sneaks up to the second floor in gaseous form. He drifts through the rooms of the upper floor, finding other Mastokov Family Members, including 3 children. He moves past them and finds the subject of his Search, Oskar Mastokov. He reverts to his Genasi form and enters the room attacking the man who helped bring him into this world. A small fight ensues and Mistral sustains multiple wounds from a Rapier before finding his mark with the Dagger of Venom. He remains cocky and remorseless even as he bleeds out saying that none of the events that shaped Mistral's past would have happened had they just stayed where they were. He finally expires and Mistral leaves him to burn (literally) for his crimes After lifting all of his valuables from his chamber.    Downstairs, The party gets into a bit of an altercation with the Sisters of Salvation mercenaries. Apparently Kraal still wants to kill the entire Mastokov Bloodline. Children and all. The party tries to reason with him, but his relentless lust for power is all too evident. Celeste attacks him and a battle ensues between two different adventuring parties. 
As the combat rages on, a heavily wounded Dima flees the palace With his sister seeming to be not far behind. Oorlog, Ostera, and Kraal remain and are proving a challenge for the heroes of Maplevale. Who will prevail? we will find out next time!

Oskar Mastokov - Eldest son of Grigoriy and Svetlana Mastokov - Birth father to Mistral. Hired an assassin group known as the Ferryman to kill him and his mother. Died at the hands of Mistral in retaliation.
