Session 48: When last we met
General Summary
When last we met,
The party were making their final preparations to head out to do battle with a Lich. They bought up some last minute essential items in both Mount Cashell as well as Tirasa. Once they had their treasures in hand, The party, along with the 4 hirelings they brought along, made the journey south to the Town of Ailec.
With Celeste scouting ahead, she spies cultists lying in wait for the party on a chokepoint along the road. She relays this to the party and they make preparations to get the jump on this ambush party. Celeste, Tensi and Mistral move up a rock face to get a jump on the enemies at higher elevation, while the rest of the party mops up those on the lower road.
Their plan is executed and battle ensues. The cultists, along with a few plague demons deal some damage to the party's hirelings, but ultimately they meet their demise at the hands of the cliff babies.
As they resume their travel, they spy their destination, Ailec, within a stone's throw away. And somewhere within this destroyed settlement lies a Lich.
