Session 41: When Last We Met 7.3.23
General Summary
When last we met, the party was in the mines beneath Melduinn. Hatching a plan over a freshly killed Lord of Auldsod. Romaia used a casting of Disguise self to make herself look like Earl Sommersett. Her magical disguise was so convincing that she managed to fool Rosalind who mistook her for the Old Warlock and drew her sword ready for more bloodshed. Isolde stayed her blade and explained what was happening. Rosalind then retreated outside to give fair warning to her associate Sir Gareth.
With that, the party stored the body of the earl in their bag of holding and went out to face the crowd of Melduinn citizens entreating entrance to see their lord. With the disguise cast, Romaia put on a decent impression of the Earl requesting the crowd disperse and the citizens bought the ruse. Their devotion runs so deep, they probably are liable to believe anything their beloved leader would say.
With that problem solved, The party decide to investigate the Manor of the old Earl. With their compatriot looking and acting convincing enough, the servants within pay them little mind. Investigating the Earl's bedroom, they find Correspondences with someone named "Vaarn" that seem to shew covert hints of Cultish activities.
With their papers in hand (And the disguise self spell soon to wear off), the party high tails it into the forest to rest for the night. The following day, the cliff babies hastily cremate the body of Sommersett, effectively eliminating any hint of his demise. They then continue southward toward Mount Cashell.
They arrive by day's end and, having no other connections in the city, decide to find that Bard, Eämmon, who helped them in the city jail. Knowing he would be at "a tavern" but not knowing which, they check among various establishments in the city until stumbling upon him at the Clay Titan Inn. After de-escalating a situation with the staff, the group takes a seat at a nearby table and orders drinks.
After establishing they both have similar goals (disrupting the meeting at the city council) and that they have vastly different motivations for doing so (A grudge against the Elder Isle vs. trying to stop a cataclysmic world ending event), The group decides to combine forces on this endeavor. Starting with a formal introduction. As Eämmon hears the name Tensi, he seems to stammer and falter in his speech. Beads of sweat forming on his brow, he confesses that a member of his old adventuring party went by the same name... A touching family reunion leads to a flurry of planning and drinking as the group whittle the night away in the Clay Titan Inn. And that's where we'll pick up next time!

He and the party plan to infiltrate the fateful meeting alluded to by Sommersett to try and stop whatever is coming. With the help of a group of adventurers and an unexpected surprise family member.
