Session 30 - When Last We Met - 4/10/23
General Summary
When last we met, the party returned to the Abraxios academy to see what information they could glean from their contact Calder. They return as night falls and he relays information regarding the worship and practices of the Cult of Tharizdun, as well as information on where the final artifact could be located. Calder relays that based on an account from a cleric of ages past, detailing Paladins chasing cultists into one of the burial cairns at the cliffs, That that would be the most likely place.
The party asks for more information on the Faithful Dominion, the mysterious religious order that approached their party previously. Calder asks them to return the following morning which they do. Calder introduces Zibliv, the dragonborn Priest on site at the academy. He relays all he knows of the order from history. Being a religious military organization tasked with protecting the rulers of the country as well as defend the land against supernatural forces. The party thank him and take their leave of the Academy (After donating the remainder of Mordenkainen's Mysterious Tomes to the school.)
The party then makes their way south toward Mount Cashell, The capital city to meet with Corbin, The mysterious member of this supposed long disbanded order. Not remembering exactly which tavern they were told to meet the hooded figure, They choose one at randomly and miraculously guessed correctly. Invading the silence of the Penitent Scholar Tavern (and it's cantankerous patrons), they showed their coin to the barman who pointed them down to a staircase leading to the basement. Knocking on the heavy door at the bottom of the stairs, They are met with Corbin who greets them and ushers them in.
In the bowels of the Penitent Scholar, They meet Rosalind McGregor, the current Grandmaster of the Faithful Dominion. After a brief exchange, they come to the understanding that they are both on the same side in this war and so can trust one another. Rosalind offers all the help she can which includes two of her knights to accompany the party into those catacombs. She instructs them to meet the party outside the Ebon Curtain Hall the following morning.
The cliff babies take their leave of her and head to an inn nearby to bed down for the night. In the common room they find a bard giving an... interesting performance. A song that acts as a scathing rebuke of the Elder Isle, to which several soldiers in the tavern took offense. The bard gave an impassioned speech about them not belonging here which escalated into a small brawl and the attempted arrest of this performer.
Tensi grabs two of the soldiers and slams them together, While Isolde attempts to subdue another with her blowgun. The rest of the soldiers fall prey to a sleep spell performed by the mysterious minstrel as he teleports away in a flourish. The party, being accomplices to this incident, decide to bed down at a different inn for the night, But not before tying up the soldiers outside the tavern with a... colorful message painted on their armor.
They take up residence at the nearby house of ill repute for the evening. And that's where we'll pick up next time!

A Mysterious Bard (Name not Given) - Played a controversial song, started a bar fight, and disappeared. Seemed to recognize Tensi on his way out.
