Session 20: When Last We Met - 1/3/23
General Summary
When last we met, The party took a short rest atop the summit of Ben Morgh. There they healed up from their prior battle with the cultists of Crom. From there, they ascended to the top of the mountain where they found a giant hulking, grey skinned celestial whom they discovered was not Crom, But a demi-god named Cruachan. He lamented to the party his disdain for the mortals living below him and offers the party to destroy their artifact in exchange for them getting rid of these cult fanatics. The party agrees and descends back down the mountain to the fighting pit.
There Tensi cooks up a lie saying that Crom has ordered them to go on a holy quest to retrieve a new Loin cloth for him. The majority believe it but a few zealots doubt the elvish druidbarian's words. The rest of the party chimes in however adding credence to this lie and eventually, their doubts are assuaged and the entirety of the Cult make their way down the mountain in search of this loin cloth.
Returning to the peak of the world, they show Cruachan that they were successful and he gathers up the gems into a backpack provided by Mistral and smashes them to dust with his giant maul. Upon their destruction, some sort of essence escapes the gems letting out a piercing squeal that greatly affects the party. After that, the gems appear to be rendered useless and destroyed.
The party takes their leave of the Demi-God and descend down Mount Crom, Their destination being Hopeful Harbor to retrieve their vehicles. After a 4 day journey they arrive at the harbor and Tensi retrieves her cart with Oxen. The caretaker strangely remarking how surprised they were that Tensi actually came back for her items.
This remark is odd to Tensi and is only made the more strange as Hadley the Liar finds the party and chastises them for keeping her waiting over 10 weeks for their return. The party remembers only being gone 10 days in the Feywild but time, it seems, is funny within the lands of the Fey. The party settles up with Hadley for the two weeks she waited for them before giving up her vigil. With a sunnier disposition, Hadley takes her leave of the party setting a course for Callisto. Brighter Financial prospects await her and What prospects await our heroes? That's what we will find out next time!
