Session 19 - When Last We Met 12/19/22

General Summary

When last we met, The party spent 5 extra days within the Feywild, licking their wounds from the previous battle and discussing aid to be lent by the Fairy Queen. In the ensuing 5 days these boons were granted (as well as some harmless trickery by the Offspring of Titania and Oberon). On the fifth day, the party gathers once more in the Court of Summer to receive three final gifts from the Keeper of the Forgotten with the understanding that those three were to be returned.
From there it is revealed that Ivyre has made arrangements with the Queen to return to her home of Alfheim where her destiny has called her to reclaim her rightful throne in that world. The party bids a fond farewell to their companion and she is transported away, confident their paths will cross again.
After that the party decides they want to be transported to the top of Ben Morgh, The mountain in Auldsod where an entity of celestial nature was sensed by members of the party. The Queen obliges and after a farewell hug from Thengel and a messenger being dispatched to inform Hadley The Liar, They are transported to a spot near the top of the mountain where they see a gathering of warriors engaged in combat.
A tall goliath named Craghorn informs them that they are worshippers of Crom and they do battle to earn his favor, for he lives and breathes at the top of this mountain and will only deem to see the most worthy of warrior. With this information, The party elects Arcturus and Vandread to fight in their name for the right to speak with Crom. The two do battle with two armored knights of some kind, one male and one female. The 4 exchange blows and then yield to Vandread and Arcturus. Next an unarmed tabaxi monk and a crazed Orcrish brute step into the ring. This battle is a bit fiercer as the 4 trade fist, axe, sword and halberd among one another. The Tabaxi yields the fight, however the Orc demands the fight go on in some crazed bloodlust. Vandread and Arcturus exchange a knowing look and Arcturus leaves vandread to duke it out with this Orcish Berserker.
The two trade blows for a few rounds, but at the end, Vandread came out victorious! Into the ring then stepped a spry looking female in Leather armor. Instead of offering a challenge of combat, She instead offers a piece of silver and a show of respect; which is then copied by the others in attendance as the sounds of cheers erupt from the crowd. The two are declared the mightiest among them and are gifted with an ornate great axe and are instructed to bring this weapon to Crom and he will deign to speak with them.
The armored paladin congratulates the victorious party and introduces herself, saying that she felt compelled to this spot by dreams she had, to which the party reveals that they were drawn together by a fateful dream that pulled them to this land to begin with. Seeing this as a portent, they invite this new warrior, Named Isolde to join their group as they take a short rest among these fighters before continuing up the mountain to face whatever lies up there.

Rewards Granted

Boons given to the party in various different forms including a book with a very long title, and armor for their bear.
3 unidentified items - Given by the Keeper of the Forgotten on the strictest stipulation that they be returned to him when the threat of Tharizdun has passed. a smal square piece of metal, a drinking flask, and a metal rod (That seems to have healing properties)
23 sp - thrown at the feet of Vandread at his final victory in the contests of battle
Ornate Great Axe - given to the victors, instructed to give this to Crom and he will speak with them in peace.

D'unahzaal - Gave the party 3 items of extreme rarity to aid them - Threatened their lives if they failed to return the items to him.
Green Knight - Gave Celeste a set of bracers. Doesn't appear to be all "up there"
Eachthighern - Lord of Unicorns gave Mistral spells for his ring of spell storing
Skerrit - Lord of Centaurs. Made armor for Trout in River as well as Arcturus' horse
Damh - Love Child of Titania. Played several pranks on the party as they rested in the summer court
Craghorn - Goliath Acolyte of Crom. Has worshippers fight for the honor and praise of this strange deity
Isolde - A human holy warrior of a nature goddess called Auril. Joined the party (yay!)
Combatants - Fought against the party for the honor of Crom. Were not successful
