Principality. Nobility is limited, at least nominally.
History
Founded in the far past. Granted independence under the King of Norwich.
In 1596-99 underwent a major upheaval, rebellion, revolution and war. Ended with the rebellion crushed and the country occupied by Lord Grosjean of Wessex.
Military
Oceanside's military has been nominal since the end of the wars. Certain lords maintain private forces, which are much larger than the official army. Grosjean's forces are still the largest in the country.
Foreign Relations
In 1610s, officially independent, but still strongly governed by Lord Grosjean.
Infrastructure
Its fairly extensive road systems, and port facilities were mostly destroyed int he wars, and have been imperfectly rebuilt. Mussel Harbor functions fairly well, but Naswol remains very much in ruins.
