Kingdom of Vinar
Kingdom of Vinar. It is not a very strong kingdom, divided and subject to pressures from outside. At times it has claimed the area around Ottovilla, at others, Ottovilla maintains its independence. The capital is the city of Pampona, high on the central plateau - however, the largest city is Valeria, down in the valley between the mountains. Argentina and Vinyas, in the north, are also very significant cities - both influenced by their neighbors to the north and east, more than in the central valley.

Culture
Culturally, and linguistically - the interior, the west coast and south along the water, are Vinari. Names like Roberto, Juan, Pablo and Pedro. There is a major variation of this in the southwest, a closely related, but different language. The south has also been influenced by Easterners, who colonized it at various times, and their languages and practices continue to be influential. In the northeast, there is a good deal of Norman and Ottovillan influence as well. These marginal ares tend to be very independent.
History
Several kingdoms and other states formed in the area over the years. Kingdom of Vinyas formed in 660, in Vinyas and Port Au Vin. This rules the area east and south of the Vinar river, across the coast of the Middle Sea. In 722, the Kingdom of Pampona was formed. Valeria grew in the following centirues, sometimes with, and sometimes against Pampona.
In the last years of the first millenium, easterners conquered the southern coast of the peninsular, and expanded up the river into the central valley. This formed a strong nation for some times, centered on Alhambra.
IN the 12th century, Vinyas and Argentia developed into separare kingdoms. That lasted some time, until they were united through marriage around 1400. They called themselves the Kingdom of VInar. In the 1450s, they crossed the old mountains and were able to take Pampona. By the end of the century they had united almost all of the peninsular, including much of the Stella river.
Territories
They own several areas outside the peninsular, mostly in the southern ocean. Isadore Island.
Agriculture & Industry
Rich fields in the north, and good lands in the south. Good lands in the east as well. Grapes, olives and so on. Central plateau is a famous grazing area, reputed to have the best horses in the world, and some of the best cattle.
Trade & Transport
Quite extensive by sea, on the north and south coast, but this tends to be very decentralized. Internal traffic is mainly up and down rivers, or via very difficult travel for caravans.
