Pawslovian

Lionkin descended from Pawslovia, and in some cases the broader similar islands. They are considered the more tropical originated species of lionkin. They are somewhat more 'behind' or forward in ways to the rest of society, being that they missed out on much k'siiva contact, but also much of the warring periods and feudal climates. They still have a strict hierarchy favoring land lords, serfs, and harems, but adapted to peaceful standards much sooner and have more rehearsed history in music and sharing festive fruits and tart teas. However they also opened trades much later, fearing the more manic outside world, and doing little to curb their own pirates.

Culture

Common Dress code

Often more earthen colors of dark browns, reds, and oranges with floral vibrant touches are more popular. Dye may involve more spots in popularity, given they don't resent cheetani as much. Straw and hemp materials may be somewhat more common, with tweed or more natural themed rings commonly used for the tail or bracelets. Otherwise, their outfits have roughly evolved to some very similar standards with the mainland cousins.

Foods & Cuisine

As per usual island traditions, seafood is much more common. Fruits are a large dietary staple as well, and when the influence of Noble's Cuddle spread, sweets based on baked fruit and pies became immensely common. Chocolates and coffee are a massive export, but have a polarized reception among the locals as either a serious delicacy or an acquired taste they'd rather avoid, yet its made some nobles very rich to grow on their land.

Ideals

Beauty Ideals

Historically, dark manes for males was still ideal, but not to as great a level. Males often were valued for what they could produce on their land, with weaker and unentitled males not really up for much opinions and seen as the leftovers. Males that could give great fruits, or had land on fish were considered attractive. Their fur was less of a matter of importance, and over time has a slightly more pale or faded look even if their testosterone is high and rich in the mane color. Likewise, scratches weren't as taboo to see on a male, though they must still be able to present themselves with some pride. There was still a sense of charm in one that wouldn't fear a small bruise from going to fish. Some have even chanced themselves more around water or face paint, and tend to dapple more in odd ideals like wetting their manes to appear more darker and attractive to females. Its often the dark manes and pale body fur that singles out islander male genetics. Abroad, while females have less of a say they are typically not very attracted to these island lords, and have sometimes called them 'volcano manes' in a manner either endearing or derogatory.   Females were more often taught and encouraged how to dance to earn their sense of place and value. Over time it had developed a more sexual connotation faster than mainland, with more provocative flare, hips or touching gestures prominent across dance patterns loosely comparable between fusions of belly-dancing, hula, and grinding. Over time, bigger curvaceous hips held a strong bias as the best dancers, and were often chosen for the breeding-side of harems, while other (or less musical) females were made to be the workhorses of the group. Generations later, the genes of wider hip measures and glute-biased metabolism was becoming more of a crowded field, and replaced even-figured females, and escalated standards for a while. By the time they opened trade up with the continents, their butts were so notably bigger than their typical lionesses that they were compared with the size of coconuts exported from the same lands.
Females themselves are desired trade and the pawslovians themselves sometimes joke back about Mainlanders 'planting coconuts', given that the steatopygic gene seems dominant across even mixed ethnic couples, but in return the mainlander's larger fur palette shows up on the cubs more often as well.
