Mating Shock
Mating Shock is when a male has physical impulses and often even painful stings around the groin, and are almost invoulentarily attempting to copulate or hump at the air over stimuli and triggers in the head for procreational cravings. It largely is attributed to tikerin, but isn't restricted to only them.
Causes
While some research is inconclusive, its believed the condition is onset when one has a very fiery libido, and very frequent arousal with sporadic sexual activity that often misaligns with the amount they're aroused. In a sense, addictive self-relief, promiscuous activity, and 'not finishing' eventually overbuild into a destabilized mental and hormonal imbalance that is over-charged and ready to act on muscular & nerve impulses without cognitive authority. Some theorize the 'burning' is even a disagreement or distress of the cognitive ability at war with the body.
Symptoms
- Groin irritation, or burning sensations
- Pelvic undulation & "air-humping"
- Sudden arousal, even in circumstances when not "turned-on" by closest subject
- Fast-responding arousal to even verbal topics
- Chance of fatigue as it winds down, and small nerve tweaks/twitches
Affected Groups
The condition is strictly male-based, though it is said some rare female groups among some like vulpira have a way of showing very similar afflictions. Its also not fully certain how wide-spread or overarcing it is onto each race, other than some species do exhibit the potentials and pattern. By large, tikerin males are the most over-represented and afflicted with the effects, though many have essentially 'vaxed' it out of society if they have urge medications, or strict family procedures.
However other groups have been found to have it in smaller sets. Liorin naturally descend with the tikerin trait still in tact. Labris, especially those without a heavily obese physical limitation, can also be found with it in not-so-rare instances, as do ovebis rams. Drathnar have shown it over course of being introduced to more leacherous recreational activities, and teases, but are still cosndiered a more rare and less-understood group. Likewise some theorize elkyne/Nelkyne carry the same genes, but they're still under-studied at this point. Its largely believed fareteg used to be afflicted, but actually stamped it out with augments and their bio-engineering revolution. Lionkin and ryclin may often be mistaken for having the state, but lack some symptoms and are more easily classified under simple mental anguish and sexual frustrations with either a high libido, or difficult mating process.
Prevention
Hormonal controlling drugs can prevent it from occuring. Otherwise it would take something more to the core of the brain, pressures, or augmentation, such as how lunaki and fareteg redesigned their body with more mechanical arousal switches.
