Lolth

Lolth, the Pale Empress, Spider Queen of the Demon Web, is a Demon Lord who rules within The Abyss. She is known to be immensely cruel, delighting in both emotionally and physically torturing those weaker than her.
To most trapped in her webs, Lolth appears as a slender, incredibly beautiful Elf woman with porcelain skin and long white hair, clad in a gossamer silk gown that clings tightly to her body. She conceals the lower half of her body—a black tarantula with purple markings, nearly eight feet in diameter—beneath shifting illusion spells and the mass of webs that constantly surround her.
Her layer of the Abyss, known as the Demonweb, is a catacomb choked with dense webbing. Within the webs, Lolth weaves portals through time and space, drawing both objects and mortal prey into the inescapable web. Husks of buildings and even entire ships hang precariously in the webbing, now inhabited by her legions of spider-legged servants and even cultists who undergo horrible transformations to serve her dark desires.
Cultists of Lolth have been seen in and around the southern edge of the Verlorenwode, as have enormous spiders and spider-like creatures said to be made in her image. It is believed that the Smouldering Rift holds some portal or connection to the Abyss, and particularly to the mysterious rifts found nestled within the Demonweb.
