Iron Delegation
The Iron Delegation is the ruling body of Ramdailos. Notably, all members except its leader are completely anonymous.
Structure
The Iron Delegation consists of ten main delegates and one Chief Delegate who acts as the spokesman for the delegation. The term of service for any delegate is twenty years. Delegates can serve as many terms as they wish, provided that the terms are non-consecutive, with at least ten years between the end of their last term and the start of their new one. The Chief Delegate is elected by popular vote, with all landowning citizens of Ramdailos over the age of eighty eligible to vote. The Chief Delegate is responsible for appointing all other delegates.
Culture
All main delegates are anonymous. At all public appearances, they dress in heavy blue cloaks and robes, steel masks, gloves, and tight pointed caps, so that they cannot be identified by their hairstyle, skin color, ear shape, or any other factor. Chief delegates typically remain anonymous during the election cycle, identifying themselves instead by nature-themed pseudonyms (i.e. Candidate Falcon, Candidate River, Candidate Storm). However, they do show their faces when speaking to the public about the decisions and plans of the Delegation.
