Tzal Stigmos

Tzal Stigmos is a centrally-located port city and the largest population center in Yogoth. Like all its sister-cities, Tzal Stigmos was once a prosperous Auran trading port until, at the dawn of the Fourth Age, Yog was unleashed and Its contagion spread across Auros.   Now Tzal Stigmos – the City of Treachery, as its known – is the cultural center of Yog’s empire. Here, the overtly evil culture that’s developed only in Yogoth is at its pinnacle. Constructed amid the Stagmire that encircles the Spoiled Sea, Tzal Stigmos is quite literally sinking into the swamp, its baroque and ostentatious architecture at strange, slanted angles. The city is a nest of vilest corruption, where wicked nobles feud endlessly with their rivals in bizarre displays of public brutality. By long tradition, all the city’s citizen wear exaggerated harlequin masques to “conceal” their identities and all interaction is done anonymously, to insulate from consequences.   In addition, the black markets of Tzal Stigmos are the most permissive in all the world, where anything – no matter how vile or reprehensible – can be purchased for the right price.
