Soulsworn

The Soulsworn are an adventuring party, legendary for their heroic exploits at the end of the 4th Age. Named for their signature magic items – amulets of soul storing, the Soulsworn are a persistent thorn in Yog's side, the speartip of the Covenant Kingdoms and their attempt to push Yog back into Its seal.

Members

• Dortek: Once a humble dwarven miner from Khûm, Dortek is the party’s stalwart bastion, its unconquerable bulwark. He wears golden armor, carries a shield emblazoned with a sneering face and wields, oddly, his old pick-axe from his mining days. He is something of a father figure to young Idele and protects her fiercely.
• Idele: A rash and headstrong thief, Idele is deaf and communicates by an altered form of thieves’ cant that she shares with her party. A young halfling on the streets of Thorp, Idele was adopted by Dortek and loves pulling pranks on Liamee, much to the elf’s boredom and chagrin. She carries a ring of invisibility.
• Liamee: The oldest member of the company, Liamee was once a diviner and gazed into the future, having seen a grim fate for the world. This imparted upon her a cosmic ennui and indifference to wordly matters. She is inexplicably a member of the party, though she finds the casting of evocation spells a bore.
• Zojan: The glue that keeps the group together, Zojan is a devout priest and cleric of the Prime Pantheon. He is a friendly, softspoken man, one with incredible mercy and empathy, and is deeply pious. Trusted by the church, Zojan is often the face of the party, speaking on their behalf to the mighty and powerful that seek their aid against the darkness. His husband disapproves of his adventuring.

Campaigns

All Hail Yog

• The Watchtower: In 895 4E, the Soulsworn are stationed at the Gatehouse, tasked with defending the fortress from the invading forces of Yog. During the fourth such siege, they individually clash with the Marked of Yog. Skoura is nearly bested by Liamee and Dortek in the courtyard before retreating. It was Erick who finally defeated Liamee with hurled flame, moments after escaping an ambush laid by Idele. In disguise, Narcinae met Zojan by the stables and learned the truth of their amulets. Ernst met both dwarf and halfling on the stairs and was slain by them several times before giving both the slip. When Narcinae summoned a barlgura, she, in turn, summoned the Soulsworn from across the fortress. Duing the final battle, each member of the Soulsworn was picked off by the heroes – Dortek by Erick, Zojan by Skoura – but Idele managed to escape at the last moment, narrowing evading Ernst’s hideous laughter spell.
• The Heroes: In Visson 898 4E, the Soulsworn launched a secret attack on Yogoth, destroying the Spires of Yog with the sapinx of the sun and, once the tower collapsed, teleporting away with the unconscious Vessel. Only three participated in this attack – Dortek, Zojan and Liamee – and they were frustrated by the Marked of Yog but ultimately escaped.
