Umphé refers to the spirit more than the body. Depending on the form they inhabit is the race of umphé one refers to. See Umphé Races.
Genetics and Reproduction
Umphé can create children by leaving their current bodies (while both they and the body are alive). Over enough time, the previous body will develop its own personality and grow its own spirit, becoming its own sentient being.

Umphé culture is synonymous with Party Time. Basically everything they do is in the interest of having a publicly good time.
Common Taboos
While umphé can take over the bodies of living beings, the very thought of displacing another soul is distasteful. Let alone how they would be trapped in their new body for some time. This makes them ineffective assassins, though with their abilities they could easily do so.
History
The umphé come from another world, a mountain country where they have complete control. If any of them know how they got here, they haven't shared.
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
Able to look or be like another other species, umphé have no qualms about appearances or physical needs. All they require in order to have a good relation with another is that the other likes to party - or is accepting and helpful to the umphé's own desire to party.
