Brys
The Great Being of Travel
Brys is a human that had a close encounter with the dragons upon their arrival on Xilunwa. This was at an early age, and it was not of a pleasant encounter as His village was subsequently ransacked by the dragons. Master Arashk, the Great Being of Reverence, happened upon Him and raised Him within His convent. They both pursued these great dragons in hopes of becoming closer to them. Eventually, Arashk and Brys had separated, and as time went on, Brys had fostered beliefs separate from Arashk’s. These beliefs leading Him down the path of knowledge and wisdom, which could only be found in places far from the convent He had joined as a child. He is also a part of the Human Pantheon as The Icon of Travel. His mount is recognized as being a Drake.
Dogma
Brys is known as a quiet human that maintains a curious caution about locations He desires to travel to. He cares most about listening to those around Him in hopes of guiding the side that desires understanding and wisdom down a path that will provide them with the knowledge they seek. It is said that out of the Alliance of Scales, Brys is one of the few Great Beings that is permitted to interact with the Thirteen as He remains a neutral party. It is believed that Brys even helps in raising awareness of the actions of both sides to each other in hopes of brokering some form of coalition between these groups.
Gaining Favor or Redemption
Balahran worshippers of the Alliance of Scales do not have to seek redemption from them as their faith is not gifted, but taken. For Brys, His favor is gained through the pursuit of knowledge, even if none is gained. The most bountiful knowledge being found in the places where such knowledge is forbidden, and those places must be entered.
Interactions with the World
Brys influences the actions of His worshippers through guidance. Bry’s guidance upon His worshippers is travel to locations you have never been, and find locations lost in hopes of uncovering history long forgotten. This started as the desire of leaving the Badlands and finding refuge somewhere safer, but it developed into gaining their freedom to settle anywhere on Xilunwa. And thus, Brys provided the necessity for risk to receive territorial expansion amongst the other civilizations of Xilunwa.
