Brys
The Icon of Travel
Brys, also known as the All-Follower, is an average height human who carries a simple quarterstaff and wears only dirtied gray robes, and worn sandals depicting His far travels. His physical appearance is that of a hungry beggar that is horribly scarred across His arms and legs from His youth. At an early age, Brys’s village was attacked by dragons and He was critically injured. Master Arashk, the Great Being of Reverence, happened upon Him and raised Him within His convent. They both pursued these great dragons in hopes of understanding their intentions on Omen. Eventually, Arashk and Brys had separated, and as time went on, Brys had fostered beliefs separate from Arashk’s. These beliefs leading Him down the path of knowledge and wisdom, which could only be found in places far from the convent He had joined as a child. He is also a part of the Alliance of Scales as The Great Being of Travel. His mount is recognized as being a Drake.
Dogma
Brys is known as a quiet Icon that maintains a curious caution about locations He desires to travel to. He cares most about listening to those around Him in hopes of guiding the side that desires understanding and wisdom down a path that will provide them with the knowledge they seek. It is said that Brys has traveled across the planes in search of knowledge and aid for Omen. It is believed that worshippers of Brys can even gain information from Him through worship, and these worshippers would gather knowledge of other pantheons as Brys is trusted within most of them.
Gaining Favor or Redemption
For Brys, His favor is gained through the pursuit of knowledge, even if none is gained. The most bountiful knowledge being found in the places where such knowledge is forbidden, and those places must be entered. Trepidation on pursuing new ventures, or even refusal to explore is grounds for loss of favor. Redemption is often found through the pursuit of knowledge. This could be to exotic locations, or to seek out the knowledge of masters. No matter the circumstance, worshippers of Brys that have failed in His eyes must go where the skills they seek are most saturated. No matter the distance.
Interactions with the world
Brys influences the actions of His worshippers through guidance. Bry’s guidance upon His worshippers is travel to locations you have never been, and find locations lost in hopes of uncovering history long forgotten. Many of His worshippers are traveling mages, merchants of exotic wares, and even traveling professors and historians. It is incredibly common for worshippers of Brys to pursue cultural exchanges with other civilizations in hopes of performing ambassadorial tasks on behalf of humanity and those nations.
