Hollie's Happy Hut

Bear with me on this one, the name is most likely a WIP as I can't think of anything good.

I was hesitant about living in an assisted village, especially since the doc prescribed some various therapies to help with the joints. I feel so old. Surprisingly, the staff made healing fun; I felt like a kid again. The main recreation building has so many nifty activities to do for everyone, whether you need therapy or not.
— Diary of village resident Judith Maslinski

This colorful building is located within an assisted retirement village on the Southern island Vlemica. It is used as a place for both recreational and therapeutic needs. Staff know the importance of maintaining a resident's emotional and mental well being along with the benefits of incorporating activities into therapy.

Residents are free to use the building as they please and there are always trained staff to cover each floor. The building was named in remembrance of a well loved resident who loved social activities and made a request for a new facility; she sadly passed before the construction was finished.

Structure Description

The Happy Hut is a large circular building that is 4 stories tall and has 4 sub level floors. It can accommodate the various species that live on the islands and may find eventual shelter in the village during their final years. The walls are painted a pastel pink with sunflower heads lining the middle. Planters full of vibrant flowers line the parameter. Numerous accessible doors of varying sizes are spaced around the building. Large sun windows are on the ground floor with normal ones on higher levels.

Each floor has different facilities; the sub levels typically cover the needs of aquatic or subterranean species. There are ramps where needed and both a standard and aquatic elevator.

Features

Each floor of the building contains many rooms to provide a plethora of activities and other services. Some residents even form clubs and hold meetings here. The ground floor primarily consists of lounge areas and both occupational and physical therapy rooms. There are also a couple pools and spas located in the basement levels.

Some of the available activities include televisions and game systems, card and board games, a small library, gym equipment, and a wide variety of art and craft materials. Aside from therapy, other services include quiet and sensory rooms, massage, trained councilors, and access to service animals.

Aww, this sounds like it would be a great place for people who need a little bit of extra help. I like the walls are pink with sunflowers!
