Nqirhbnd
Nqirhbnd is a town situated on the far east, and is the most eastern settlement in the known world. Located in Eleanor on the island Tkhanqirh, it was originally part of the Kingdom of the Silver Isles, spent time under rule by the Rhussom Empire, and then eventually was brought under Mnqara.
The port was originally used by Bulo Oracles as a place for divination, but now exists as a diminished settlement. The is racked by large storms and some believe it could be a place to begin looking for the Storm Fostpoint.
History
In the settlement's history, it was on the eastern front of the Rhussom Empire. Historical records indicate it managed trade around the Silver Isles in Rhuti.
An interesting and not yet consolidated record is talk of trade with eastern ports which aren't shown on any maps. Financial records speak of crops being traded with eastern colonies, but these colonies seem to have been lost to time - their names are no longer recorded and their whereabouts do not make sense in the given maps of Eleanor.
Attempts to make sense of this history have been made to attribute a mistranslation of directions, or perhaps an error in financial records, but there is some debate on the origin of potatoes in the regions of Olivia and Eleanor; historians of Olivia say potatoes originated from Eleanor, and in Eleanor the opposite is reported. It is occasionally theorised that an eastern location could be the true origin.
Points of interest
Storms are common place in Nqirhbnd - in summer, storms are often recorded three times a month if not more. Sailing east from the location, ships run into terrible storms suggesting that something unnatural causes these weather quirks, such as another Fostpoint.
