Interbiotic Range
The Interbiotic Range constitutes the area of the Blýfónic Valley between the Amoŋot Desert to the west and the Ðýmóš Plains to the east. Typically defined based on extensions of the delineations of the Volain Forest to the south, it possesses geological qualities of all three biomes that surround it, creating an extremely diverse and multifaceted area for life. Given how gradually the transition between the Plains and Desert occurs, the exact borders of the Range have changed over the years.
The second-to-last of the major Valley regions to be colonized by the Ibrófeneð species, it was first settled by the Lrhúuŋðarr Tribe via the Alëhadic Expedition.
History
The late settlement of the Interbiotic Range can be attributed to the fact that all five of the Yarpalïŋ-Ýmïlýrhonid, that is, the first major Expeditions into the outside world, were planned to be in the Amoŋot Desert, as that was the region most accessible via the Kairn River System's left fork. Even though the fork's source is directed into the Interbiotic Range, the region was likely overlooked due to the presence of its grasses, which may have been unfamiliar to settlers after hundreds of years in the Ïlýrhonid Tribe, and also due to the ease of living in the Desert to its immediate west, whose rocks were just the right consistency for harvesting.

The only Expedition to not explore the Desert regions was the Alëhadic Expedition, which comprised one half of the Fourth Expedition alongside the Šókhekic Expedition. The initial purpose of the Expedition was to record the geopolitics of the Desert for use in planning alliances between the Ïlýrhonid Tribe and the various settlements of the Hýyó-Hayïd and Hýyo-Wýðúr.
Setting off in 5 Heta-Eimare, 25021 AYM, as one cohesive unit, the two would accidentally diverge at the Ŋópïŋ-Arún-Khërn, that is, the fork of the Kairn River System. The Alëhadic Expedition would mistakenly take the right fork and thus end up in the Ðýmóš Plains, which was nonetheless populated with settlers would most likely also made the same mistake. These early settlers would be concentrated in the two cities of Býnhafý and Ðóš-Avï. Initially adhering to the Expeditionary mission of documenting the state of these settlements, the Alëhadic Expedition would ultimately change its mission upon realizing the benefits of a trade route between the cities of the Plains and the Desert, given how differently both regions appeared, especially in terms of resources.
As such, from early-to-mid 25021 AYM to the Expedition's return to the Ïlýrhonid Tribe in 12 Suta-Eimarae, 25019 AYM, the Expedition and the local population, here referred to as Lhrúuŋðarr (although the name would not be established until after the successful completion of the Trading Route in 25003 AYM), would build a series of roads and transitional towns from the two cities of the Plains and around the northern edge of the Volain Forest. This would amount to a distance of over 5,000 kilometers, about half of which was inside the Interbiotic Range, and by Suta-Eimarae, 25019 AYM, they had reached the middle of the region and established the twin cities of Waðë-Vïn and Dlaýe-Vïn there. These two cities would remain the most populated settlements in the Interbiotic Region for nearly 300 years.
The blend of the Desert Rock and the Soil of the plains, as well as the incorporation of wood from the Volain Forest, would be the defining style behind the towns and roads; the name Lhrúuŋðarr means Patterned or Decorated Path, referring to the ornate combination of all three materials in their architecture.
However, by then, the Expedition had received word of events regarding the Ïlýrhonid Tribe. Namely, the Ýlëntuk Family had formally departed from the Tribe and split into the tribes of Varhoŋïð-Khalúš and Kairn at the Ŋópïŋ-Arún-Khërn. This would be the starting events of the First Ýlëntukian War, and the high threat that the Khalúšians now posed to the Ïlýrhonid Tribe required the Expedition to return to the Tribe to assist in defenses. Furthermore, the Khalúšians, after being defeated and driven from the Forest, would go on to take over the city of Güðün, which had been the Lhrúuŋðians' planned Desert city and the final stop in their trading route. As such, the Lhrúuŋðians were left to be on guard, defending the two frontier cities of Dlaýe-Vïn and Waðë-Vïn against the Khalúšian threat.
