Arfarotï

The Arfarotï, or the Arfarotian Period, was the time period in Ïlýrhonidian recorded history when all 12 families maintained positive relations within the walls of the Tribe. The traditional bounds of this period are from 25187 AYM, that is, the earliest recorded date of the Gaðërïŋ-Hýša, to 25032 AYM, with the commencement of the Ýmïlýrhonid Movement via the Hayïdic Expedition, the first of the Yarpalïŋó-Ýmïlýrhonid. Some historians will further divide the Arfarotï into the Ýmor-Šïwëðo (Glowing Era) (25187 - 25110 AYM) and the Ýmor-Šapariž (Blazing Era) (25110 - 25032 AYM).

Throughout the Arfarotï, Ïlýrhonidian culture and pride reached its greatest extent, but it also featured a grand movement from Ïlýrhonidian nationalism (Kavamïŋ-Ïlýrhonid) to family-specific pride (Kavamïŋ-Žö-Ýsïb). This is reflected in the language of the day; although the individual families were still officially known as Žötó-Ýsïb, or blood-related peoples, the more familiar term Žö-Ýsïb, that is, the removal of the plural suffix, was beginning to gain in popularity, and each family saw themselves as cohesive as a single organism.

Etymology and Delineations

The Arfarotï Period's name is derived from the Ýlbrïfon word Arfarot, meaning 'connected', referring to this period being the last official time when all twelve families lived in and depended on the Ïlýrhonid Tribe for food and stability. However, the 'unity' of the Tribe had multiple facets that crumbled at different times. Although the 12 families were officially united until the departure of the Ýlëntuk Family in 25020 AYM, the sentiment towards emigration, collected in the term 'Ýmïlýrhonid Movement', both in a social and cultural sense, persisted as early as the Ýmor-Šapariž. Its culmination in the Hayïdic Expedition at 25032 AYM is usually delineated as the end of the Arfarotï and beginning of the Heta-Ýmor-Vëtam.

History

Prelude

The start of the Arfarotï is not based on a particular event, but rather the sudden deletion of literature. Due to the extreme changes that took place in the Heta-Ýmor-Vëtam period, the events before the Arfarotï, which were dominated by the now-abolished Kavamïŋ-Ïlýrhonid, were erased from the record. Thus, all tribal records dated to before 25187 AYM are lost and thus categorized as part of the Ënúb-Hýšaï period (meaning 'Before the Gaðërïŋ-Hýša', that being the main tribal records).

As such, very little is known about the history before the Arfarotï Period.

Ýmor-Šïwëðo

Main Article: Ýmor-Šïwëðo

The Ýmor-Šïwëðo, lasting from 25187 to 25110 AYM, was the first subperiod of the Arfarotï Period. It is defined by the reign of Úšýŋeban (25187-25080 AYM) as Hyvamto-Re-Elironid. About 20% of all Arfarotian records concern this subperiod, so there is little known about it. Úšýŋeban himself is known to have had an especially peaceful reign, and the only major event here was the rise of Žaðolý, who began planning his well-known road-and-pit system in 25113 AYM. However, his influence is almost entirely concentrated in the Ýmor-Šapariž, as he only began construction in 25109 AYM.
