Red plates made of thin metal, painted with a simple yellow five pointed star. a series of runic inscriptions can be found on the underside. These are a common ingredient used in Spellcrafting.

incorrect handling of the material will result in certain complications. alongside the creation of Negative level runes, negative energy is released from improper alchemical balancing during spellcrafting sythesisation. This negative energy has a chance to corrupt the soul of the spellcrafter. (negative energy and 1d4+1 negative level runes are created on a natural 1 roll of a spellcrafing creation check that uses level runes in the recipe)
