Block spider
Part of a golemn subspicies comprised of colourful stone blocks. The block spider is the smallest of these, but boasts the limited ability of biorecreation-splitting into two clones when defeated-thankfully the clones do not share this ability.
Basic Information
Anatomy
They typically have 8 spindly limbs, 6 eyes, and a body of various coloured stone blocks
Genetics and Reproduction
The species appears to reproduce in a similar fashion to cells-gaining mass and then splitting into two or more entities.
Ecology and Habitats
They are frequently found in caves, mountains, and other rocky regions away from water
Dietary Needs and Habits
It eats rocks, somehow converting them into more blocks for its body, or to repair broken pieces of itself.
Additional Information
Domestication
In order to domesticate a Block spider, one must nurse a hatchling from a very early age, feeding it rocks and keeping it in a dry environment. Domesticated block spiders make excellent playmates for children-and some have even evolved into new subspieces this way.
Uses, Products & Exploitation
The blocks are often harvested and used as a childrens toy.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Enhanced vision-deaf, siesmic sense, enhanced touch.
