Personal history

Damned by King Atlas
Kalypso was the daughter of the Titan known as King Atlas, his race of people ravaged creation before both the Jötunn, Daemons, and Gods. When the Titans were split into the Jötunn, the remaining Full-Blooded Titans were confined to the Realm of Tartarus, Atlas among them. He took a lesser Goddess as his wife, the fair Hesperis, and was named the Sky Titan for his aid of the Gods during their war with the Darkness. However, Hesperis did not love Atlas and only brought him one daughter, the beautiful Kalypso Atlaseious.   In time, Hesperis's disdain for Atlas grew so much that she could not be with him anymore and left the Titan alone. Atlas was heartbroken and pleaded to Hesperis's father but because the Darkness had been lulled, the Divines saw no reason to honor their deal. The old Titan turned his anger on his precious daughter and imprisoned her in a Prison Realm: Ogygia. This Realm was under a certain curse; any man who was sent here would only regain his memories after Kalypso began to truly love them, and they would be filled with the desire to return to their own lives, endless heartbreak.   Kalypso would remain trapped in Ogygia for countless eons, suffering in a time-delated realm, until she was saved by her future husband Jean-Louis Boudreaux who defeated King Atlas and freed Kalypso from Ogygia.
