Order of Tehom Nor
The Tehom Norim (Deep Candles) are a scholarly order. They control the largest libraries in Mitzraim. Often the order members are wearing dark green, almost black, robes that are very loose fitting. The Order of Tehom Nor is comprised of scholars, scientists, and spies. They were founded by the Lord of Wisdom, Saret. He often comes to visit them in the library at Enri and is the easiest god to find.
The Order preserves knowledge that is at risk of being lost and will send people to collect scrolls from libraries all over the world. Those scrolls are copied and then returned to their rightful places. Knowledge is the most important thing for the order.
There are several members of the Order who are on the Synod. The Synod is composed of several members who have abandoned their names for titles. The Gate Keeper is often the first to greet people at the front of a library. The Gate Keeper simply requires a piece of knowledge for entry into the libraries and often is in charge of protecting the library. The Ambassador will often be seen giving tours of the collection. They are in charge of knowing where things are located or where to start looking. The Scholar is in charge of the scriptorium where knowledge is copied and preserved. The Scholar sends out people to collect scrolls and tomes for copying. The Chronicler is the member in charge of recording current events and works well with the Spymaster. The Chronicler has several people working to report current events. The Arcane helps with research into the more magical documents, making sure that a spell book is safe to copy. The Arcane also assists with translating runes for people and identifying magical objects. The Oracle is in charge of divine knowledge and is often in contact with Saret. The Oracle in Enri has many secretarial duties for the lord of Wisdom. The Alchemist is in charge of knowledge regarding potions, animals, plants, and fungus. The final member of the Synod is the Spymaster and is a secret kept from the public. Spymaster often masquerades as a lesser monk in the order and is charged with finding knowledge that is being intentionally hoarded or kept secret. The spymaster has a vast network of spies throughout the world since the rediscovery of Mitzraim by the conflux.
The vast majority of the Tehom Nor are simply monks who are trying to preserve knowledge and do not mean any harm. only 5% of the order are spies, another 10% are trained as guards, and an additional 10% are clerics of Saret. The rest are scholars and teachers who work for the betterment of Sapient life.

Public Agenda
The public goal of the Tehom Nor is to create sacred spaces for knowledge and wisdom. They pay fairly for the knowledge they take publicly and often will share knowledge with those who seek it. They will never destroy knowledge, even if it is considered evil by some as knowledge is neutral until someone uses it for evil.
Assets
The Order has significant assets. It has a large collection of military history and stratagems as well as secret arcane knowledge that can be used to turn the tide of battles. They have several guards and clerics that can help defend the libraries if the need arises. the Oracle is always a 14th level cleric of Saret and the Arcane is always a 14th level magic user. The Gate Keeper is often a 12th level fighter specialized in a weapon for 2/1 round at +3 to hit and damage.
History
The Order of Tehom Nor is ancient. it was first established by the Saret, Lord of Wisdom, to protect knowledge. He found it to be a crime against himself if knowledge is lost or destroyed and created the order to preserve any wisdom they could find. His clerics are often order members though not all order members are clerics. The first position among equals is the Oracle as it was the first position to found the Synod.
