Niril
Uphold the cycle and question not the decisions made by the gods, for when the cycle is broken Darkness will descend and all will be lost.
The Three Truths
One is born, one lives their life, and one dies. Those are the three truths that are central to Niril, the major and only allowed religion in the Tetriarchy of Kritmorc. For each temporal perspective on life a deity has taken responsibility: the holy Dinmeyr, Warden of All and Protector of things that have passed; the holy Calveyr, Enforcer of All and Protector of things as is; the holy Queyr, Conductor of All and Protector of things yet to come.
The passage of time and the events taking place are not to be questioned, for that is questioning the will of the gods. Things that have happened were supposed to come to pass, and things that will happen will. You simply need to revere, stick to your duty and have faith. Questioning the fate the gods have planned for you only brings unhappiness. These beliefs have led to traditions such as unmarked graves, grand milestone celebrations and a hopeful perspective on the future.
Living life as intended by the gods allows a departed soul to enter the holy city of Qar Albar.
The government is run by a variety of priests, their function highly dependent on the god they choose to dedicate their life to at the end of their studies. One particular group of priests is revered a bit more than the others for these priests show a holy affinity to mysticism. These sorcerer-priests and their mystical abilities are looked up at with awe.
There is, however, one particular individual that is even more awe-inspiring. This individual is chosen by the gods themselves: the Oracle of Nir. This most holy of figure’s foresight is relied on by the trilochion as they convey the messages sent by the gods themselves.

The Temples of Nir
Niril is deeply ingrained in Kritmorc culture and politics. The Temples of Nir are not only houses of the holy, but also government buildings. Temples of Dinmeyr house tribunals and archives, temples of Calveyr house enforcer-priests and schools, and temples of Queyr house civil-priests. The main temples in the capital city of Zalbah-At house the trilochion, the three high-priests that govern the country. The government is run by a variety of priests, their function highly dependent on the god they choose to dedicate their life to at the end of their studies.
