In the Beginning there was only light. It took the form of Deon and he shaped the scattered energy of the universe into the Divine Order, a perfect state of bliss. Beings of pure light populated the Order under Deon's radiant presence.
The Order flourished until Aeon emerged from the Void beyond and ruptured it into the different planes of existence. The released energy, the Spark, gave life to ancient Titans who shaped the planes into what they are today. After using the last of their energy, the Titans perished.
Deon and Aeon are now engaged in eternal battle beyond the planes, neither able to overthrow the other, allowing Deon to hold the planes together in a stable state. The followers of Deon lend their strength to their god in order to stop the forces of Aeon that seek to destroy the balance.
