Mettius has created a robotic bodyguard to protect him as he works in the Otherworld. This bodyguard is AMDU, which stands for Automatic Magitek Defence Unit. He usually calls it AMDU though. This robot is his closest companion, and he has given it a whole personality beyond what it actually displays. "She" is his greatest defense against the monsters of the Otherworld, and he lovingly takes care of "her", using only the best parts and taking meticulous care when repairing "her".
Mannerisms
Mettius has trouble talking to non-engineers, using technical terms to refer to common objects. A gun to him is a "Projectile Accelerator", and a portal is an "Arcane Dimension Warper". He also refers to his robot as a she, and treats her like his child.
