The Great Cedar Forest

Before the time of man the gods created powerful animalistic beings; creatures untainted by evil but also dangerous and unaware of the morality of their actions. They posed no danger to the gods but they knew that these monsters would threaten their later mortal children. They could not bear to kill their earlier monstrous children and so set aside great forests of cedar, first and greatest of trees, for these monsters to live within. They then set broken winged giants as guards to keep humans out of any such forest and to keep the monsters from ever leaving the forests.   Despite the gods' preparations they lacked foresight into the peerless greed and curiosity of man. Heroes of ancient ages challenged many of the giant guardians and slew them during explorations of the cedar forests. This led to a discovery, the forest's cedar as well as the bones of its monstrous inhabitants held great magical power. Due to the monsters' favored status as first children of the gods their bones as well as the wood of the trees they lived amongst could cut through the supernatural defenses of demon, angel, and priest alike. As a result many a blaphemous king and desperate crusader has waged war against the broken winged giants to steal their cedar and monstrous wards.   At present day the Great Cedar Forest is only surviving sanctuary for these eldest children of the gods and their giant guardians

Ancient Cedar/Primordial Bones

Wood harvested from the Great Cedar Forest, as well as the bones of its monstrous inhabitants, can be used in the creation of weapons that would normally be able to made of wood or bone. Its bonuses apply even if the weapon has some components made of differing material such as a steel spear head, but cannot be combined with other special materials such as mithral. A weapon incorporating either material is able to ignore all divine and profane bonuses to armor class or saves when attacking or when used to channel a special ability. So for instance a magus using spell strike through a sacred cedar spear would be able to ignore a paladin's divine grace for his spell's saving throw.
