Rivermeet
Located along the upper Aegion River in the The Bularian Plain, Rivermeet is the capital and largest city of the kingdom of Bularia. The city is stretched along the shore of the river, and is dominated by its massive docks that reach out into the wide, slow moving river. Almost all trade vessels going up or down the river will stop here, mooring alongside fishing boats and the small ferries that transport people and goods across the river, as no bridges cross the Aegion in Bularia.
In addition to river trade, the city thrives off trade with the Riders, tribes of nomadic pastoralists who live in the surrounding plains. Though usually friendly toward the city's inhabitants, groups of riders occasionally raid the surrounding area, and are the main reason for the large set of walls surrounding the city. Semi-permanent tent encampments are found outside the walls, and a large livestock market is ongoing most of the year near the main gate.
In the middle of the city's largely low lying buildings is a large keep, with a massive hippogriff tower rising from it visible from far across the surrounding flat landscape. The queen runs hippogriff hatchery here, one of the few in Obseron away from mountains. Hippogriffs are commonly used as transport due to the difficulties of crossing the river, and some wealthy residents keep them in rooftop hutches at their homes.
