Significance
Like many of the finest jewels and worked metal in the Elven Kingdom, this crown was made by Elven and Dwarven artisans working together. The gemstones that adorn the crown represent the Elven people; Emerald for the Sylasil, Yellow Diamond for the Illasil, and Onyx for the Shalasil. The Royal Family, descended from Ardentine Stormglory, holds a power granted by Alreon that commands the Elven people. Some of that power is said to be contained in the crown. For years after the Betrayal and the disappearance of the Royal Family, Galu refused to wear it, insisting that the symbol of the Royal Family was not his to touch. The first time he wore it was to face a challenge from a powerful rebel leader known as the Reclaimer. After the revelation that the Reclaimer was the missing Crown Prince, Zaen Goldenreach, Galu offered him the crown and the throne. Zaen's refusal and abdication finally convinced Galu to accept the crown and the authority that came with it.

The frame of the crown is a rich red cherry wood, plated on the front and sides with silver which is inlaid with bands of gold. A pair of emerald gemstones flank a single, larger yellow diamond. Onyx stones are set in intervals between them. The entire crown, and especially the wood portion, is imbued with powerful magical protections to keep it from wearing out or breaking.
