Significance

The Nasauri, captivated as they were by the Elves, insisted on finding a way to repay the gifts they'd received. The ores they minded from the mountains around their home were the most precious resource they could offer. The Elves accepted the gifts curiously at first, but began experimenting in artistry with the more malleable metals and fine gemstones. When the Nasauri realized the Elves' value for these materials, they began gathering them in earnest. The Elves, attempting to stem the excess of gifts, insisted that they exchange an equal value of goods.
